Dubai — David Natroshvili has established the Natro Promise Foundation, registered in the Dubai International Financial Centre under DIFC Foundations Law No. 3 of 2018.
The Foundation exists to fund master's degrees for Georgian students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics — supporting those with the ability to excel in these fields but not the means to pursue them at the level their talent deserves.
Georgia produces exceptional STEM students. What it has not always been able to offer them is a route to advanced study abroad, where the cost of a master's programme can be prohibitive regardless of merit. The Natro Promise Foundation is built to close that specific gap: funding at the postgraduate level, for the disciplines that determine where economies go next, for students who have already proven they can do the work.
Applications are assessed through a structured process, with an independent council reviewing each request on its merits.The Foundation's purpose is personal for its founder. Twenty-five years ago, a scholarship took Natroshvili from Georgia to a master's degree in the United States. The condition attached was not repayment, but succession — that he help someone else in the same position, should he ever be able to.
"I was a student from Georgia with no money and a place I couldn't afford to take," said Natroshvili. "Someone made that possible. This Foundation exists so that the next generation of Georgian scientists and engineers don't have to hope someone does the same for them."
